Our Icons Explained

Certified Organic

EU Organic

Organic is a frequently used term in the food industry, but what does it really mean? Basically, farmers produce organic food by avoiding the use of man-made fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators and livestock feed additives. The use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), or products produced from or by GMOs, is also usually considered to not be organic.

At MadeGood®, all of our products carry the European Organic logo, which is your guarantee that the products are grown and processed according to internationally recognized organic standards.

Certified Vegan

Certified Vegan

Products that are certified vegan do not contain any dairy or animal ingredients.

Difference between Vegan and Vegetarian? Today, many people are choosing to change their eating habits to align with their closely held beliefs, and for health or ethical reasons. Often, people use the terms “vegan” and “vegetarian” interchangeably, but there are differences between them that are important to understand.

For vegans, the choice is often related to their concerns for animal welfare and the environment. In addition to not eating any animals, vegans do not consume dairy milk, dairy cheese or eggs, and they avoid any ingredients that include animal by-products. While vegetarians don’t eat animals, many may eat products that come from them, such as dairy and eggs. There are some vegetarians who choose to exclude eggs or dairy, depending on their individual beliefs and preferences.

People typically choose one of these diets because of health concerns, religious restrictions or moral concerns about harming animals. A vegan or vegetarian diet high in fruit and vegetables is also a good starting point for a healthy lifestyle.

At MadeGood, all of our ingredients are ethically sourced and adhere to internally recognized industry standards for non-GMO, vegan, organic and gluten-free products. We certify our granola products with internally recognized organizations, including the Canada Organic Council and the Gluten Intolerance Council, as well as being certified vegan by Vegan.org.

We understand that this is an important decision in your life, so we’ve created a culture at MadeGood to provide healthy nutritious product that vegans and vegetarians will enjoy. Choose between a variety of products and flavours, and taste the difference.

Contains the nutrients found in one serving of vegetables

We use vegetable powder made from spinach, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, beets and shiitake mushrooms in our organic granola products. The nutrients from this vegetable source—vitamins A, C, D, E and B6—are present in the final products. Each serving contains at least 20% of your daily requirement of these nutrients.

Gluten Free

Gluten Free

As awareness of the potential negative impacts of gluten in your diet continues to grow, we know you are looking for alternative and nutritious gluten-free snacks. At MadeGood, all of our products are certified gluten-free by the Gluten Intolerance Group.

Gluten is a special type of protein found in foods such as cereals, certain grains and wheat. One of the main purposes of gluten is to keep the elasticity in foods intact that makes bread “chewy” and prevents foods from having a sticky doughlike texture. Many processed foods also contain gluten, so having gluten-free snacks can help you achieve a healthy balance in your diet.

Gluten can cause illnesses in people with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Reducing the amount of gluten in your diet can have a variety of health benefits, such as improving cholesterol levels, promoting digestive health and increasing energy levels, if you have a gluten sensitivity. Take a break from gluten with our tasty gluten-free snacks, granola bars and cereal.

Whether you suffer from gluten sensitivity or are just looking to reduce gluten in a healthy balanced diet, our MadeGood granola products offer healthy gluten-free snacks to meet your needs.

Made with Whole Grains

Made with Whole Grains

Whole grains or foods made from them contain all of the essential parts and naturally occurring nutrients of the entire grain seed in their original proportions. This means 100% of the original kernel—the bran, germ and endosperm—is present.
